Greater yield and more attractive tubers
SOLU K 52 has a positive effect on yield stability and the percentage of marketable products. Users have reported to us that they have been able to increase their proportion of marketable goods by up to 25%.What is more, we have also received feedback from users stating that the percentage of potatoes larger than 60 mm has increased by up to 75%. In the best-case scenario, regular doses of SOLU K 52 boost the citric acid and vitamin C content as well as nitrogen efficiency. The regulation of the water balance can also be optimised. As a result, storability after harvesting is also improved.
How can SOLU K 52 positively affect the growth and crop yield of potatoes?
In this early stage from leaf development to main stem elongation, there is already an increased need for potassium. This is why we recommend initial leaf fertilisation with SOLU K 52 even in this early phase. It can contribute considerably to the growth of the plant.
If there is sufficient leaf material, SOLU K 52 can be sprayed multiple times during tuber formation.
During tuber formation, we recommend two applications ten days apart, each with 6 – 10 kg/ha dissolved in 250 to 300 litres of water.
As a general rule, but in particular in the event of extreme weather conditions, in intensive growth phases such as flowering and fruiting, we recommend 25 – 50 kg/ha SOLU K 52 (2 – 5% solution) distributed across two to three sprays.
